Its so important to clean your makeup brushes to get rid of oil, dirt, build up of makeup, pet hair, bacteria etc. If you reapply a dirty brush to your face you are reapplying all that dirt which causes break outs and acne.
All you need is:
Anti-bacterial hand wash, olive oil, a plate and some face clothes to dry them on.
1. Wash your own hands and dry them.
2. Keep one hand dry and use your other hand to wash your brushes with the antibacterial hand wash. (Always hold the brushes facing down the way because if water gets under the handle it can loosen the glue.
3. Always rinse your brushes well until the water runs clear.
4. If your brushes need softening (if their feeling a bit dry) use both olive oil and hand wash and swirl your brush in the mixture then swirl it around on the palm of your hand to get rid of all the build up of makeup and rinse well.
5. Prop brush handle higher than bristles while your air drying them (this stops water from getting into the barrel of your brushes).
6. Leave to dry naturally on a face cloth while keeping a small space in between each brush so they dry faster.
